Justin Suttles
Director, Writer
Justin Suttles is an independent writer and director of narrative features, shorts and music videos. He attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating in the Fall of 2014 with a Bachelors of the Fine Arts Degree in Film + Television. He is currently based on the East Coast, where he works closely with friend and fellow SCAD alum Bryan Tan, and Lyrebird lead actor/co-writer Catherine Atkinson. Drawn to the visceral power of film as a vehicle for empathy, Justin’s dark and personal character studies have garnered critical and audience acclaim, his shorts landing on Omeleto three times over, and placing him on Source Creative’s “Directors to Watch” list. A lover of genre and interiority, Justin cannot wait to continue the journey of bringing Lyrebird to life.
Catherine Atkinson
Lead actor, Writer
England native, Catherine Atkinson is an actor, writer, and social activist. Classically trained in acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, she furthered her education at the University of Southern California before moving to Atlanta to begin her professional acting career. Upon reconnecting with long time friend and collaborator Justin Suttles, Catherine began cultivating her authorial voice in the hopes of elevating those unheard. With three developed screenplays under her belt, Catherine cannot wait to bring Lyrebird’s resilient female lead to life on screen.
ORAN DOMINGUE

For the last decade, Oran has worked on an array of feature films and television shows, primarily in the Locations Department. From independent films like Galveston and The Survivor, to big budget features like Ang Lee's Gemini Man and Disney's Lady and the Tramp, to more recently CBS's primetime tv show FBI: Most Wanted, which has been renewed for a fifth season, Oran has a catalogue of experience planning, negotiating, and managing filming operations for whatever location the project calls for. Oran hasn't collaborated with Justin and Bryan since their time in film school, and cannot think of a better project to reignite their shared filmmaking passions than Lyrebird. Now a part of the team, Oran will guide the cast and crew through Lyrebird's development and production schedules.
Bryan Tan
Director of Photography
Bryan Tan is a Taiwanese-American writer, director, and cinematographer acclaimed for his artistic mise-en-scène and meticulous eye. He aspires to make gripping but thoughtful films that challenge the audience and leave space for reflection. A jack of all trades, Bryan constructs many of his own sets and miniatures, including a life-size spaceship for his acclaimed sci-fi short film “The Emissary” on the YouTube channel DUST. His debut feature film, “She Watches Blindly,” premiered at the Atlanta Film Festival in April 2023. Bryan looks forward to lensing the evocative world of Lyrebird.
